If you could change one thing about you……….
What would it be?
Before you answer this, let’s just think about what you can’t change and accept those things. I mean things like your height and your basic body shape. If you are an hourglass curvy shape there is no point in thinking you want slim straight up and down hips – that just won’t happen. Learn to love those hips!
What can we change?
But there may be things you would like to change that you can, such as:
- be less anxious,
- be more confident in certain situations,
- minimise a fear or phobia,
- stand up and talk in public confidently
- break an unwanted habit,
- or maybe just have the courage to take action to make a change.
How can we change?
These are all things that can impact on the way you live and how you view yourself. These are also all things that hypnotherapy can help with. I work with lots of people who want to make changes. Sometimes small changes and sometimes really big and possibly scary changes. I work gently with people at their own pace to help them to realise that they can change.
From a personal perspective, I have benefited from Cognitive Hypnotherapy. I had a phobia of the dentist for most of my life. I would go to the dentist only because my fear of rotten teeth was probably stronger than my fear of the dentist! I have recently had treatment for the phobia and visited the dentist soon after. The experience was completely different and much more pleasant!
The fear had gone.
