Hi, I’m Sue Jeffery, a fully qualified Cognitive Hypnotherapist. I graduated from the prestigious Quest Institute having studied under the internationally acclaimed Trevor Silvester, the founder of Cognitive Hypnotherapy. I was awarded my Diploma in Cognitive Hypnotherapy and a Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD). This diploma is externally verified by the National Council of Hypnotherapy and accredited by the NCFE.
My training to achieve my HPD was extensive and varied. I learned about Neuro Linguistic Programming, positive pyschology and traditional hypnotherapy which means that I have a variety of techniques to help my clients solve their issues. I also continue to learn and discover the new ways of thinking about therapy in general.
After completing my HPD, I did further training to qualify as a Confident Childbirth Pratictioner. This is a method of hypnobirthing that means that I can work with you to help you to have a positive experience of the birth of your baby. The main thing is for you to feel in control, no matter what birth you want or how it proceeds. Hypnobirthing can help you to achieve that.
I work in a dedicated therapy room in my own home near Romsey. So I’m easily accessible to people living in Southampton, Winchester, Salisbury and the surrounding areas. I offer daytime and evening sessions to fit in with people’s busy work schedules.
Always a busy professional, my career background was in senior management positions in not-for-profit organisations. Here I worked in a coaching environment, developing and empowering managers to encourage them to be the best that they can be.
I’ve always been passionate about helping people to develop and grow. This, coupled with my interest in how the mind works, led me to train as a Cognitive Hypnotherapist.
I’ve visited a hypnotherapist myself on a number of occasions. We addressed longstanding issues from my childhood that have had a lasting impact on me. I also had my dentist phobia cured using hypnotherapy. So, I’ve had first-hand experience of how powerful and successful it can be.
Hypnotherapy has had a profound effect upon me. It has completely changed both the way that I see things and my approach to life. I feel privileged to be able to pass this knowledge on. And I get huge satisfaction from being able to help people make such dramatic and positive changes in their lives.
