A bit about me
I became interested in hypnotherapy when I heard about a friend whose life changed dramatically when she visited a hypnotherapist for help with anxiety and lack of confidence. She was amazed how effective hypnotherapy could be, and I saw a huge difference in her too.
So I did some research about hypnotherapy and took the plunge! Firstly, I went to see a Cognitive Hypnotherapist about my dentist phobia, which was resolved really quickly. I then started looking at other issues around lack of self confidence, particularly around public speaking. During the sessions, we addressed longstanding issues from my childhood that have had a lasting impact on me. I can now go to the dentist without a worry. I also stand in front of groups of people to give talks about my work as a hypnotherapist. So, I’ve had first-hand experience of how powerful and successful it can be.
Hypnotherapy has had a profound effect upon me. It has completely changed both the way that I see things and my approach to life. I feel privileged to be able to pass this knowledge on. And I get huge satisfaction from being able to help people make such dramatic and positive changes in their lives.
I have recently moved to Frome, having run a successful practice for a number of years in Romsey. I love living in Frome and am going to be moving to a new therapy room within a clinic in a few months time. I’m very excited about this and for now I’m continuing to work from home. I offer daytime and evening sessions to fit in with people’s busy work schedules.
How I can help
I can help you change your behaviours and thinking in areas such as:
- reducing anxiety
- coping with stress
- increasing self confidence
- helping with depression
- reducing the effects of traumatic experiences
I use a range of skills to help you to change the way that you think and feel. This can include using techniques from traditional hypnotherapy, modern psychology and NLP. I also will create recordings for you to listen to at home. This can help to re-inforce the changes and make them more permanent. Imagine how good it would feel to really let go of those old thoughts and feelings and live your life how you would love to.
Working with me
So, if you’re thinking of working with me, you might like to know a bit about what might happen.
Firstly, I offer an initial telephone chat, this gives you a chance to ask me lots of questions. It also lets me get to know you and what is worrying you. There’s absolutely no obligation to book anything after that chat. I offer this because I believe that it is so important for you to chose the right person to work with.
Then when you decide to move forward, we’ll book some sessions. I usually recommend 3 or 4 sessions as a minimum to start with. This is to make sure that the changes you are making will continue to improve your life. After that, we can decide together if more sessions would be beneficial for you. My sessions cost £70 each, and can last anything from 45 minutes to just over an hour.
Payments for the sessions can be made by card, bank transfer or cash – whichever is easiest for you.
My training to become a Cognitive Hypnotherapist
I’ve always been passionate about helping people to develop and grow. This, coupled with my own successful experiences with hypnotherapy, led me to train as a Cognitive Hypnotherapist.
