We are in such confusing times aren’t we? Times when we can feel very uncertain about so many different things that we used to know and take for granted. Our way of life has changed so fast and we are left in a period of huge confusion. And that can cause us high levels of anxiety.
So I thought it might be useful for you to find a moment of calm because we could all do with that to help us through these turbulent times. We certainly have never experienced anything like this in our lives. We have, of course been aware of other countries experiencing this type of epidemic. I’m thinking of examples like SARS, Ebola and the Zika virus. We were aware of them but they weren’t happening here, on our doorstep.
This one feels very different as it appears that every part of the world is dealing with this virus. If we were to read all the information on it, I’m sure it would send us into a frenzy of anxiety, fear and worry. It’s a very difficult balance to feel informed enough to know what you need to do, but not completely overwhelmed by it all. If we become overwhelmed, that can make us feel unwell, which will then trigger more anxiety about our health.
Which is why I’ve called this piece a moment of calm. And I’m offering the free audio below as something that can help you to find your moment of calm.
